Our children's Sunday school classes meet at 9:45 a.m. and our Children's Churches begin at 11:00 a.m. 

Additionally, children are encouraged to participate in our Children's Bible Club which meets each Wednesday night (September through May) at 6:30 p.m. The Children's Bible Club incorporates a game time, a song time, and a time for quoting verse memorization in addition to a devotion time where they will be instructed in the basic doctrines of the Bible. Of course, young children (newborns through age 3) may be cared for by our loving nursery staff during church service and Sunday school hours.

We offer an annual Vacation Bible School as well as scheduled children's activities throughout the summer such as the children's detective club, a treasure hunt, roller skating, and scheduled times at the church library.



 

Teens are offered a wide variety of activities and ministries, including Sigma - our teen group - which is a concept designed to work within the framework of the youth ministry of the church. It divides the youth group into teams or societies, and these societies compete by bringing visitors, memorizing verses, sharing the faith, and performing other spiritual disciplines. Teens also earn points for conceiving, planning, and carrying out ministry projects that reach the lost and minister to others. Sigma meets from September through May at 7:00 p.m.

Other teen activities include youth rallies, hay rides, volleyball and other field games, etc. Our teens spend a reviving week at church camp each summer. Teens are viewed not as the church of tomorrow but as the church of today! They are encouraged to help out in the ministries of the church, including involvement in either the adult and/or teen choirs and special music ministries.

Regular attenders at Harvest Baptist Church are welcome at our Christian K-12 grade school, Harvest Baptist Academy. Teens are also a key to our soulwinning and other outreach programs. They go soulwinning weekly on Wednesday afternoons and minister at the Westmoreland Juvenile Detention Center ministry each month.
